With effect from 15 May 2015
Syndicate Bank announced in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) sub-section (3) of Section 9 of The Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970/1980 read with sub-clause (1) of Clause 3 and sub-clause (1) of Clause 8 of The Nationalized Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970/1980, the Central Government has, on 15 May 2015, appointed Arun Shrivastava, Executive Director, Bank of India as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank from the date of his taking over charge of the post and upto the age of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.Arun Shrivastava assumed charge on 15 May 2015.
