Turnover on NSE's F&O segment declines

The Nifty April 2017 futures trade at premium

The April 2017 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 9198.90, at a premium of 25.15 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 9173.75 in the cash market. Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 2.04 lakh crore from Rs 8.94 lakh crore registered during previous trading session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index settled unchanged at 9,173.75.

Reliance Industries (RIL), State Bank of India (SBI), Reliance Capital, Punjab National Bank (PNB) and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

RIL April 2017 futures traded at 1325.95, at a premium over spot closing of 1320.60. SBI April 2017 futures traded at 294.20, at a premium over spot closing of 293.30. Reliance Capital April 2017 futures traded at 617.80, at a premium over closing of 615.

PNB April 2017 futures traded at 149.75, at a discount compared with spot closing of 149.90. ICICI Bank April 2017 futures traded at 278, at a premium over spot closing of 276.35.

The April 2017 F&O contracts will expire on 27 April 2017.
