Nifty April 2017 Futures trade at premium to spot closing
The April 2017 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 9130.50, at a premium of 11.10 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 9119.40 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 4.48 lakh crore from Rs 7.39 lakh crore registered during previous trading session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 17 points or 0.19% to settle at 9,119.40, its lowest closing level since 19 April 2017.
DLF, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Sun TV Network and Yes Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. DLF April 2017 futures traded at 182.85, at a discount over spot closing of 183.25. Reliance Industries April 2017 futures traded at 1406.40, at a premium over spot closing of 1405.HDFC Bank April 2017 futures traded at 1496.80, at a discount over spot closing of 1498.70.
Sun TV Network April 2017 futures traded at 938.25, at a discount over spot closing of 938.80. Yes Bank April 2017 futures traded at 1543.20, near spot closing of 1543.
The April 2017 F&O contracts will expire on 27 April 2017.
