US Revokes Subsidy Preferences For Some Developing Countries Including India

The US has narrowed its internal list of developing and countries to reduce the threshold for an investigation into whether nations are harming US industries with unfairly subsidised exports, according to a US Trade Representative notice. With this change, the US revokes WTO subsidy preferences for some developing nations, including leading emerging economies like India and China. Other major economies on the list include Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Costa Rica, Georgia; Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Malaysia, Moldova, Montenegro; North Macedonia, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Ukraine, and Vietnam.
