V.S.T. Tillers Tractors climbs on good September sales

V.S.T. Tillers Tractors rose 1.33% to Rs 1,266.30 after the company said total tractors sales rose 5.46% to 2,201 units in Q2 September 2019 over Q2 September 2018.

The company's total power tillers sales rose 3.95% to 5,609 units in Q2 September 2019 over Q2 September 2018. The announcement was made after trading hours on Friday, 4 October 2019.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 93 points or 0.25% to 37,766.49.

On the BSE, 161 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 1,486 shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 1,289 and an intraday low of Rs 1,255.05 so far during the day.

The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 1,911 on 2 November 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 901.05 on 6 August 2019.

V.S.T. Tiller Tractors' net profit fell 19.7% to Rs 11.55 crore on a 4% decline in net sales to Rs 139.68 crore in Q1 June 2019 compared with Q1 June 2018.

VST Tillers Tractors is engaged in the manufacturing of power tiller and tractor. The firm operates through the manufacturing and trading of agriculture machinery segment. Its products include rice transplanter, power reaper, engines, precision/auto components and agriculture implements.
