Volumes jump at BCB Finance counter

Metroglobal, Titan Company, AIA Engineering and Berger Paints India are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 3 August 2015.

BCB Finance clocked volume of 29.88 lakh shares by 14:00 IST on BSE, a 747 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 4,000 shares. The stock surged 8.09% at Rs 29.40.

Metroglobal notched up volume of 8.28 lakh shares, a 152.48-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock jumped 15.09% at Rs 77.40.

Titan Company saw volume of 12.85 lakh shares, a 11.94-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.08 lakh shares. The stock fell 1.98% at Rs 317.45.

AIA Engineering clocked volume of 52,000 shares, a 7-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 7,000 shares. The stock surged 4.94% at Rs 1,041.

Berger Paints India saw volume of 2.54 lakh shares, a 6.6-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 38,000 shares. The stock rose 2.82% at Rs 224.10. The company's consolidated net profit rose 34.5% to Rs 77.30 crore on 5.7% growth in net sales and other operating income to Rs 1121.20 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014. The Q1 result was announced during market hours today, 3 August 2015.
