LG Balakrishnan & Bros clocked volume of 4.10 lakh shares by 13:49 IST on BSE, a 149.35-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock lost 1.59% at Rs 284.
Cadila Healthcare notched up volume of 2.21 lakh shares, a 11.97-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 19,000 shares. The stock rose 1.79% at Rs 846.
Power Grid Corporation of India saw volume of 9.60 lakh shares, a 4.12-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.33 lakh shares. The stock rose 1.36% at Rs 96.65 ahead of its Q3 December 2013 results today, 5 February 2014.
Risa International clocked volume of 1.91 lakh shares, a 3.29-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 58,000 shares. The stock rose 0.61% at Rs 820.
Tech Mahindra saw volume of 1.42 lakh shares, a 2.7-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 52,000 shares. The stock rose 3.59% at Rs 1,833 after consolidated profit after tax jumped 40.6% to Rs 1010 crore on 2.7% increase in revenue to Rs 4899 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q2 September 2013. The Q3 result hit the market after market hours on Tuesday, 4 February 2014.
