Volumes jump at Redington (India) counter

Infotech Enterprises, Future Retail, Balkrishna Industries and Wheels India are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 14 February 2014.

Redington (India) clocked volume of 10.08 lakh shares by 13:37 IST on BSE, a 46.57-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 22,000 shares. The stock lost 1.15% at Rs 68.65.

Infotech Enterprises notched up volume of 1.47 lakh shares, a 37.52-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 4,000 shares. The stock lost 0.1% at Rs 353.20.

Future Retail saw volume of 38.88 lakh shares, a 11.1-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.50 lakh shares. The stock surged 8.75% to Rs 88.25 after the company reported a net profit of Rs 21.74 crore in the quarter ended 31 December 2013 as against net loss of Rs 20.41 crore in the quarter ended 31 December 2012. Total income rose 80.81% to Rs 2331.33 crore in the quarter ended 31 December 2013 over the quarter ended 31 December 2012. The result was announced after market hours on Thursday, 13 February 2014.

Balkrishna Industries clocked volume of 1.67 lakh shares, a 6.74-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 25,000 shares. The stock surged 3.64% at Rs 383.20.

Wheels India saw volume of 1.12 lakh shares, a 4.27-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 26,000 shares. The stock tumbled 7.61% at Rs 692.60.
