Two men in Belgium have been accused of allegedly having links to the 2015 Paris attacks, the federal prosecutor said on Thursday.
The suspects allegedly supplied Khalid El Bakraoui, the suicide bomber who launched an attack on the Maelbeek metro station in Brussels in 2016, with the false documents used in the preparation of the attacks in the French capital in November 2015 that killed 130 people, Efe news reported.
A judge specialising in terrorism charged and issued an arrest warrant against Farid K. for suspected involvement in the activities of a terrorist group and for forgery and use of false documents, according to a statement released by the prosecutor's office.
A second suspect, identified as Meryem E.B., was also charged with forgery and use of false documents and released on conditional bail.
The prosecutor's office said it did not plan to release further details due to an ongoing investigation.
