At least 20 people were killed and over 50 injured in different incidents of violence in Iraq Monday.

Seven people were killed and 16 wounded in a car bomb explosion at a marketplace in Baghdad, a security official said.

The attack occurred around mid-day, when a booby-trapped car went off at a fish wholesale market in Taji area, some 20 km from Baghdad, reported Xinhua citing a local police source.

Earlier in the day, three car bombs exploded at a vegetable wholesale market in the town of Jedidat al-Shutt near Baquba city, some 65 km from Baghdad, killing 13 people and wounding 39.

No group claimed responsibility for the attacks.
