A gang of seven people took off with one million peso (about $21,000) worth of donations from the Philippines' Khalsa Diwan Indian Sikh Temple located here in Paco district, a media report said on Monday.
A closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera captured the armed men entering the Manila gurdwara on December 1, at around 3 a.m., ABS-CBN News reported.
They were seen overpowering the security guards, shackling them and taking away their guns, according to the report. The robbers took the donation box to a waiting car before fleeing.
Authorities later found the getaway vehicle was rented by the robbers. Police have arrested a suspect, identified as a former security guard of the gurdwara.
