Forty two tourists were rescued from a small cruise boat in the Mandovi river here late on Saturday, after it lost control and hit a nearby offshore casino vessel, police said.
A spokesperson for Goa Police described the incident as "minor" and that no one was reported injured.
"All 42 tourists were rescued by marine police personnel and the crew of the casino vessel," the spokesperson said.
The incident occured when the cruise vessel 'Om Sai', which was ferrying tourists on an evening cruise experienced machine failure and it drifted and collided into the much bigger casino vessel operated by the Deltin Group, one of the many offshore vessels dotting the Mandovi river.
