65.99% polling in second round of polls in Jharkhand: EC

Jharkhand witnessed 65.99 per cent polling in the second round of voting in the Lok Sabha polls on May 6, the Election Commission said on Wednesday.

"A total of 65.99 per cent voted in the second phase. In Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Koderma and Khuti, the polling was recorded at 64.40, 64.83, 66.68 and 69.11 per cent respectively," the poll body said in a statement.

It said that in the four seats, the total number of voters were 65,87,028. Of this, 43,46,880 exercised their franchise.

On election day, the polling percentage was put at 64 per cent.
