A 7.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded in this Jammu and Kashmir summer capital on Saturday, while no damage was recorded anywhere because of the epicenter being far away from Jthe state.
"At 11.45 a.m., a great intensity earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale was recorded by our seismograph here," Sonam Lotus, director of the local Met office, told IANS.
"The epicenter of the quake was in Nepal at a depth of 10 Km at 28.1 degrees north latitude and 84.6 degrees east longitude," he added.
