AC Milan failed to get the maximum points for their run into the top four as they drew 0-0 with Frosinone on Wednesday.
The only point AC Milan received from the draw was not enough to push them up to the fourth place in Serie A to get the ticket to the Champions League, reports Xinhua news agency.
The Milan team had nothing to be proud of after Wednesday's draw as the second-bottom Frosinonne could have pulled off an upset if Camillo Ciano's goal in the 37th minute was not ruled out by VAR.
Ciano had another golden chance in the 93rd minute but it was AC Milan's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma who saved the team.
Frosinone have won only one game this season on a record of one win, 6 draws and 10 losses.
