Italian giants AC Milan and Internazionale are involved in a battle to sign highly-rated Brazilian midfielder Nilton, the player's agent said.
The 26-year-old, who played a crucial role in Cruzeiro's Brazilian Championship title-winning team last year, is also understood to have attracted interest from Roma, Valencia, Sevilla and Lille, reports Xinhua.
"Nilton is a player who is on the radar of several European teams," agent Wagner Ribeiro said Friday.
"He was the best defensive midfielder in the Brazilian Championship last season and clubs have taken notice."
Suitors for Nilton's signature have been told they must pay a buyout fee 5.5 million euros.
