Natural resources major Vedanta Ltd subsidiary Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd (TSPL) has appointed Agnivesh Agarwal as the company's new Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vedanta announced on Friday.
TSPL operates a 1,980 MW (three units of 660 MW each) thermal power plant at Talwandi in Punjab.
As per the statement, Agarwal joined TSPL as Director and Chairperson of the company effective from April, 27, 2019.
"He holds the position of Chairman and Managing Director at Fujairah Gold FZC, a part of Vedanta Resources Limited, which operates a precious metal refinery and a continuous cast copper rod plant, strategically located at Fujairah Free Zone II, in the UAE," it said.
Agarwal has also served as a non-executive Chairman of Hindustan Zinc Ltd, the statement added.
