Actress Amanda Bynes, who is undergoing psychiatric treatment at the UCLA Medical Center, pays as much as $3,500 a day as her treatment as well as living expenses, reports tmz.com.
The 27-year-old was hospitalised on a 5150 hold after she allegedly lit a fire on a stranger's driveway in July. Section 5150 of the California Welfare and Institution Code allows a qualified officer to involuntarily confine a person deemed to have mental disorder.
As per the order, Bynes may stay in the facility up to one year. The doctors, however, are planning to treat her for two months before discharging her. The treatment for one year will cost $1,277,500 and her insurance does not cover all of it.
