Amp up your Lohri look with bright, bold hues

Adorn yourself by wearing Patiala suits in bright colours like red, pink and emerald green to celebrate Punjabi festival Lohri that falls Jan 13 this year. Complement the look with traditional jewellery and bold lip colours.

Makeover expert Aashmeen Munjaal shares tips on how to create perfect look for the festival:

* Wardrobe: Vibrant coloured attire is best suited for festival. Patiala suits in bright shades of red, pink, green with heavy work of zardozi and phulkari are ideal for the occasion.

* Make-up: To start with make-up, massage your face with a beauty balm and wipe it off with tissue paper. Then apply crystal foundation. Sprinkle crystal pigments in a scoop of foundation and merge it with your finger and apply it in a dotted way on your face. Use bold lip colours with metallic touch.

* Jewellery: Take your pick between kundan jewellery and pearls.

* Hairstyle: A front puff or a chotti with a parandi are some of the hair-dos you can try for the festive look.
