A daily wage worker in Andhra Pradesh overnight became a millionaire -- albeit on paper.
Nazir was shocked to find over Rs.1.26 crore balance in his bank account. This happened in Amileypalli village of Chittoor district.
He had opened his account in Andhra Bank two months ago and had a balance of just Rs 192.
He deposited Rs 250 on Wednesday.
Nazir later received a message on his mobile phone that Rs 1,26,76,436 had been credited to his account.
He approached the 'bank mitra' and obtained a mini statement which indeed showed over Rs 1.26 crore balance in his account.
Shocked, he met bank officials who told him they have no idea how the money got deposited in his account. Income Tax officials are investigating.
