The national capital experienced another hot day as the maximum temperature settled four notches above the season's average at 41.7 degrees Celsius. Some relief is expected Sunday with the Met office forecasting light rain.
"Parts of the city will get light rains tomorrow (Sunday) accompanied by thunderstorms," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 40 and 31 degrees Celsius.
Saturday morning was sunny and hot as well as the minimum temperature settled five notches above the season's average at 32.7 degrees Celsius.
The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 56 percent and the minimum was 33 percent.
Friday's maximum temperature recorded at 43 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 31 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
