Indian healthcare major Apollo Hospitals has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Fiji National University to enhance the healthcare infrastructure in Fiji, a statement said Thursday.
The MoU was signed on the eve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Fiji National University.
According to the MoU, Apollo Hospitals will also establish clinics in Fiji with outpatient specialist consultant services, diabetes management services and emergency care services.
"We have developed a special relationship with the people of Fiji and have initiated programmes to bring the benefits of the Apollo model of care to Fiji," Sangita Reddy, joint managing director of Apollo Group of Hospitals, said in the statement.
