English football club Arsenal's striker Olivier Giroud insists that the team has a good enough squad to win the Premier League and has rejected suggestions that they need to strengthen in three areas in the January transfer window.

The Arsene Wenger-coached side is currently atop the standings, ahead by two points from Leicester City, but former England player Alan Shearer claimed that the London club is three players short of having a squad capable of capturing the title.

Shearer believes Arsenal need a holding midfielder, a centre-half and a striker but Giroud said he cannot see where his team are lacking.

"Tell me where! Just tell me where! I will explain the opposite judgement. We have very good players as well on the bench, young players waiting to come in. They are very talented. I am not worried about it," Giroud was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror on Sunday.

"Danny Welbeck will come back in a month and a half. Theo Walcott can play up front, Joel Campbell doing well with his national team up front. If I am less good or get injured, we still have a solution."

Giroud won the Ligue 1 title with Montpellier in 2012 before moving to Arsenal. He said he can use his experience to help the Gunners' title charge.

"To be champions in a season - and I know that because I was a champion with Montpellier - you need talent, of course, but you need a bit of luck and sometimes you cannot play a fantastic game," the French striker added.
