Asia-Pacific robot contest in Pune Sunday

Doordarshan will Aug 24 host the 13th International Asia Pacific Robot Contest (ABU-ROBOCON) that aims to encourage scientific temperament of under-graduate engineering students in the Asia-Pacific region.

Information and Broadcasting Minister (Independent Charge) Prakash Javadekar will inaugurate the contest at the Balewadi Sports Complex, Pune.

ABU-ROBOCON that began in 2002 in Japan is a unique TV programme project where students compete with their hand-made robots.

These events also offer an opportunity to broadcasting agencies for advancing their technological skills and international cooperation.
