Atletico Paranaense advanced to the Copa Sudamericana semi-finals after defeating Bahia 4-1 via a penalty shoot-out after the score stood at 0-1 after 90 minutes.
Bahia's Douglas Grolli scored at the end of the first half of Wednesday night's match to bring the teams level at 1-1 on aggregate, reports Efe.
However, hosts Paranaense came out on top in the penalty shoot-out, sealing their place in the semis.
Paranaense dominated the game from the beginning and maintain their winning streak in the tournament where they have seven wins and one defeat.
Paranaense are set to face Brazil's Fluminense in the semi-finals.
