Singer Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Field wants to be here for the birth of their second child.
Field is weeks away from giving birth to the couple's second child and is reportedly insistent on a California birth, despite Williams' wishes for the baby to be British like their first child, two-year-old Theodora "Teddy" Rose, reports contactmusic.com.
"The baby will be born in California for definite. Ayda did live in the UK with Robbie for almost a year after Teddy's birth, but they're based in LA now," said a source.
"Ayda prefers living there as her friends and family are close by and she has a good support network," added the source.
The actress wants the child to experience her American heritage first hand.
"She is proud of her American heritage having lived there since she was a baby and feels it is as important as Robbie's British roots," said the source.
''The kids will have dual nationality because of their parents, so she doesn't want to go all the way to the UK to give birth.
"Robbie gave into Ayda without much persuasion. He feels if she's the one going through the pregnancy and birth, the least he can do is agree to whatever she wants when it comes to the actual birth plan,' the source added.
