The festival is held in collaboration with dance record label giants Ministry of Sound and HedKandi. Organised by DNA Networks, the event will be held at Supernova Arena and Convention Centre Aug 4 here.
"Sound Awake is a brand new initiative which will enhance the diverse portfolio of live events that we promote and produce. The main festival in Bangalore will be preceded by celebratory pre-gigs with with some of our featured DJs (disc jockeys) in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad," T. Venkat Vardhan, managing director, DNA Entertainment Pvt Ltd, said in a statement.
The festival will see a live performance by foreign talents like Taboo, who has churned out hits like "Boom boom pow" and "I gotta feeling". Darude, a DJ from Finland, will also be a part of event.
Dirty Vegas, a British house music trio which gained mainstream popularity with tracks like "Days go by" and "Walk into the sun", is also set to stage a high voltage performance.
There will be four stages in total - with a DNA live stage, and an Indi stage as well as two separate stages for The Ministry of Sound and HedKandi.
The DNA live stage will feature the top headlining artists, while the Indi stage will feature top DJs from India.
