The Ansarullah Bangla Team, a Bangladeshi Islamist terror organisation, has issued death threats to 10 people, including the prime minister's political advisor, H.T. Imam, and Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Arefin Siddique, a media report said on Thursday.

Siddique said he received the letter by post on Wednesday morning, bdnews24 reported.

The letter said, "Must you will prepare for dead (sic)."

Imam was termed 'Anti-Islam Adviser' in the letter and Siddique as '1. Dusmon (enemy) VC'.

The Ansarullah Bangla Team has claimed responsibility for killing bloggers since 2013, the most recent being the murders of Avijit Roy, Washiqur Rahman Babu and Ananta Bijoy Das.
