FC Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano could be sidelined for a period of up to two weeks after it was confirmed that he has been injured in his left thigh.
After coming on to the field on Tuesday against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final, to replace Denis Suarez in the 62nd minute, the 32-year-old ended the game with physical problems, reports Efe.
The Argentine defender has played 26 games out of 35 involving Barcelona in all competitions this season.
Mascherano could not train on Wednesday along with his teammates in the workouts, that featured Barcelona B players Marlon, Gumbau and Sarsanedas.
