Barcelona's French defender Jeremy Mathieu received a medical discharge on Saturday to prepare for Sunday's La Liga game against Espanyol in the penultimate round of the football league.
The Frenchman suffered a right knee injury in late March during his national team's friendly against Russia, reports Efe.
"Mathieu is back at the disposal of Luis Enrique for the season run-in, and has already trained with the group a couple of times this week," the Catalan club announced on its official website.
After receiving the medical green light, Mathieu can appear in the remaining three games for Barcelona this season -- La Liga ties against Espanyol at home and Granada and the Copa del Rey final against Sevilla.
Barcelona lead La Liga standings with 85 points, the same as runner-up Atletico Madrid and just one point ahead of third-placed Real Madrid.
