German football giants Bayern Munich have announced that Austrian international David Alaba may miss the European Champions League encounter on Tuesday against Olympiacos FC due to an ankle injury.
Alaba's fielding against Greek side Olympiacos is doubtful, as the 23-year-old left-back suffered an ankle injury during Saturday's 3-1 victory over Schalke, reports Xinhua.
An examination by Bayern club doctor Volker Braun revealed on Saturday a capsule injury in the left ankle. Whether Alaba can play or not depends on the healing process in the next few days.
The Bavarians face Olympiacos for the top clash in Group F at the fifth round of Champions League on Tuesday.
