Berlin strengthened their midfield with the signing of Bayern youngster Mitchell Weiser, the "Hertha" said.
Hertha Berlin wrapped up the first summer transfer as Mitchel Weiser joined from the German record champions. The 21-year-old midfielder inked a three-year deal, which keeps him at Berlin until June 2018, reported Xinhua news agency.
"Mitchell is a young and viable player who is fast on both wings," Berlin's manager Michael Preetz told the club's official homepage on Thursday.
Weiser joined the "Bavarians" in June 2013 to make 16 appearances and one goal with the first team. However, he played mainly for Bayern's second team.
"I see this transfer as an exciting challenge. I want to contribute with the great supporters to complete a successful season," the new arrival said.
Hertha Berlin completed the last season on the 15th place of the Bundesliga standings.
