In an attempt to reach out to a larger audience of budding players, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is drawing up plans to provide basic and advanced modules of coaching through digital platforms.
The project will include a cricket coaching mobile application and a customised website that will provide content covering all aspects of the game. It will be an extension of the programmes that are managed by the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
The applications will cover the basics of cricket coaching methodologies and modern day requirements to enhance the strength and conditioning of an upcoming cricketer.
Case studies to explain various scenarios and master-classes from former cricketers will be made available in the first phase.
In addition, coaches from across the country can standardise the teaching methodologies that form the curriculum of the NCA.
The BCCI will explore options to work with potential partners who will build and promote this initiative.
