Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday directed the officers and soldiers to keep themselves prepared for all types of threats, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
"I am proud to be COAS (chief) of a brave and highly professional army," Gen Qamar said during his visit to the elite Strike Corps at Multan Garrison. "The soldiers are fully trained and the best in the world," he added.
"Army is what its soldiers are," the military's media wing ISPR quoted the army chief as saying.
The chief said that the Pakistan Army's experience with counter-terrorism has made it battle hardened. He also praised soldiers for being prepared to thwart challenges of a conventional war.
Meanwhile, the soldiers interacted with Gen Bajwa and expressed their passion to serve the country and fight the enemies when required.
