West Bengal assembly Deputy Speaker Sonali Guha was Thursday hospitalised after she fell unconscious inside the house when it was in session.

Guha was taken ill in the second half of the day's session.

Members as well as some assembly staff crowded around her.

She was later taken to the state's premier government health facility SSKM Hospital in an ambulance.

"She has been kept under observation. She is undergoing tests," said a hospital source.
