BenQ unveils new video post-production monitors

Taipei-based technology major BenQ on Monday launched PV3200PT and PV270 high-end PV series monitors for advanced cinematic and video post-production for Rs 140,000 and Rs 125,000 respectively.

The PV3200PT is a wide-angle 32-inch IPS monitor that features high 4K UHD (3840x2160 pixel) resolution to scrutinise images to the finest details.

This monitor includes hardware calibration support and includes the Palette Master Element calibration software to adjust the monitor's colour gamut, white point, colour temperature and luminance, the company said in a statement.

An optional Software Development Kit (SDK) allows studios or calibration software provider to be more involved in customising colour calibration settings.

The 27-inch PV270 is an IPS professional monitor with Technicolor Color Certified certification that makes its luminance, colour gamut and gamma Hollywood-ready.

The built-in backlight sensor quickly stabilises the monitor's brightness while the brightness uniformity feature maintains consistent brightness across the viewing surface.

The PV270 also includes a monitor hood to reduce reflections on the screen's surface and mitigate display contrast to improve conditions for image retouching and soft proofing.
