An 81-year-old man died of H7N9 avian flu infection Thursday in China's Fujian province, local health authorities said Friday.

To date, Fujian has reported 15 human cases of H7N9 infection, Xinhua quoted the provincial health and family planning authorities in a statement Friday.

On Friday, Zhejiang province also reported four more new cases of the disease, raising the number of H7N9 human cases in the province to 73 this year alone, authorities said. One of the four new cases was in critical condition.

China has so far reported over 120 human H7N9 cases this year, including over 25 deaths, with Zhejiang and Guangdong being most affected.
