The BJP's central election committee will meet here Thursday amid speculation that the party could take a decision on Lok Sabha seats for prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and party president Rajnath Singh.
While there is speculation that Modi could be fielded from Varanasi, sources said Rajnath Singh was keen to move to Lucknow from his present seat of Ghaziabad.
Ghaziabad will go to polls April 10 and a decision on the seat is expected to be taken Thursday, party sources said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has already declared three lists of candidates.
The Congress has declared that party president Sonia Gandhi will contest from Rae Bareli and party vice president Rahul Gandhi from Amethi.
