Brazil international goalkeeper Alisson is set to leave Internacional for Italy's Serie A next year, the Brazilian club's president said.
Vitorio Piffero on Tuesday said the club had tried in vain to extend the 23-year-old's contract since he established himself in Internacional's first team in February, Xinhua reported.
"We have been trying to keep him here but the difficulties imposed by his agent (Ze Maria) made it impossible," Piffero said.
Allison is currently Brazil's first-choice goalkeeper, having made his international debut in the Selecao's 3-1 victory over Venezuela in a World Cup qualifier in October.
Media reports in Brazil and Italy have linked the goalkeeper with a possible move to Juventus or Roma.
Piffero would not be drawn on Alisson's likely destination but said an agreement could be reached within days.
"If a deal is made, it will be done this year," he said.
