Prominent personalities from the industrial and corporate world will join a conclave on 'Conscious Leadership - Passion, Purpose and Profit', for application of ancient Indian principles in modern businesses.
Organised at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) jointly with Artha Forum and Indo-American Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, the keynote address will be delivered by spiritual leader Radhanath Swami.
Founder member of Artha Forum Rajeev Srivastava said the objective of the conclave is "to find work-life balance, ways to become more effective and even more fundamental, one's raison d'etre".
"We want to combine the two, seemingly contradictory, worlds of ancient wisdom and literature and modern business," said Srivastava, who is also managing partner at Basil Growth Fund.
Through these initiatives, Artha Forum aims to showcase proven business models and create awareness among entrepreneurs, professionals and business leaders to include giving back to society as an integral part of the business.
Emphasis would be on giving back a share of the profits of business for societal growth, empowering small-scale communities and provide advisory help to build sustainable business and achieve self-dependence through business enterprise, he added.
Other prominent speakers at the conclave will be Vedanta Resources chairman Anil Agarwal, founder of UTV and Swades Foundation's Ronnie Screwvala, Apar Group chairman N.D. Desai, Arvind Mafatlal Group chairman Hrishikesh Mafatlal and many more.
In the past, similar conclaves by Artha Forum were conducted in Dubai, Silicon Valley, New Jersey, London, Singapore, Bengaluru and Govardhan Eco Village in Thane, attracting the top names from the world of business, industry and finance.
Artha Forum is an online, non-profit initiative supported by top officials from Apar Industries, HSBC, Reliance India Ltd., Ford Foundation, Xome, Bigcommerce and Basil Growth Fund.
