The BSF on Friday detained a youth from the border belt of Ferozepur in Punjab on suspicion of spying, police sources said.

The youth, said to be around 21-years-old, was being questioned by the Border Security Force (BSF) and other agencies.

A mobile phone has been recovered from his possession with Pakistani phone numbers. The investigators said the detainee's social media accounts showed he has links to Islamic groups.

Ferozepur is around 275 km from here.
