Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza has appointed a new government which includes members from an opposition coalition.
The new government was made up of 20 ministers on Monday. Fifteen of them are from the ruling CNDD-FDD party, the other five from the opposition coalition, Burundians' Hope Independent, Xinhua reported.
The move means a revision that Nkurunziza earlier announced to an article in the constitution which excludes a party with less than five percent of votes in the election from being part of the government.
Except the ruling CNDD-FDD, no other parties won more than five percent of the votes in Burundi's June elections which were boycotted by most opposition parties.
Nkurunziza was sworn in last week for a controversial third term in office.
Opponents say his re-election violates a constitutional limit of two terms for president.
Months of unrest sparked by his third-term bid has left dozens of people dead, according to civil society groups.
