With BJP facing a major debacle in the by-elections for Lok Sabha and assembly seats in 10 states, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said one has to take two steps back to make a giant leap forward.
"To take a giant leap, you will have to take two steps back. We will take a giant leap in future," Singh said hinting at the 2019 general elections.
Singh was addressing a press conference to highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in the last four years.
As of now, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to win only one Lok Sabha seat (Palghar in Maharashtra) and one assembly seat (Tharali in Uttarakhand) of the four Lok Sabha and 11 assembly seats.
