Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India won the fifth edition of the BCCI Corporate Tournament to lift the Raj Singh Dungarpur Trophy by defeating defending champions Chemplast by 32 runs in the final at the Wankhede Stadium here Saturday.
Put in to bat, CAG were bowled out for a meagre 210 in 46.4 overs. In response, Chemplast were bowled out for 178 in 46.3 overs.
CAG bagged the winners prize cheque of Rs.1 crore while the runners-up took home Rs.50 lakh while losing semifinalists Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and India Cements got Rs.12.5 lakh each.
Brief scores: CAG 210 all out in 46.4 overs (Rameez Khan 41, Avi Barot 35; Sandeep Sharma 5/26) beat Chemplast 178 all out 46.3 overs (C. Hemantkumar 49, R. Satish 34; Imtiyaz Ahmed 5/21, Rituraj Singh 3-32).
