Miami, Jan 8 (IANS/EFE) A cat that disappeared from its home in Tampa in the US state of Florida was found by its owner near their house with an arrow in its head, but the feline is recovering from its wounds, media reported Thursday.
Akila went missing Tuesday and its owners conducted a search, finding the cat in the yard of a nearby house with an arrow through the top of its head, NBC6 reported.
The hairless cat was taken to the Animal Coalition of Tampa, where veterinarians removed the arrow in an emergency operation.
Police are investigating the case and trying to determine who shot the cat with the arrow.
