The 61st edition of conference of the Tamil Nadu Opthalmic Association 'The Grand Eye Quest', to be held Aug 10-11, will have several innovative and interactive sessions like live surgery, and an ophthalmic parliament, said a statement Friday.
According to the statement issued by association, the conference has attracted over 1,800 delegates from within and outside the country.
The statement said for the first time in the association's history a live surgery session has been scheduled Aug 11 morning featuring the entire spectrum of ophthalmic surgeries like anti-glaucomo, sutureless vitrectomy, oculoplasty and others.
The liver surgery will be transmitted from four eye care centres located here, Bangalore and Coimbatore.
