"X Factor" judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has revealed she can't take anymore of Simon Cowell's digs, even fearing she will lash out at the media mogul.
Cheryl says Cowell knows just how to push her buttons - constantly winding her up during filming. In fact, the banter gets so bad for the "Promise this" singer that she has begged to move seats away from Cowell -- a request that has been blocked.
"Me and Simon are still rowing. He knows which buttons to press. Sometimes I want to move away from him but he won't let us change seats. He just really wants to wind me up to get a response. I don't think I'll throw glasses of water on him - I think those days are done," Cheryl was quoted as saying by The Sun, reports dailystar.co.uk.
"Maybe I'll use a high heel. That can double up as a weapon, can't it," she added.
During the last series of the "X Factor", the two judges spent most of their time arguing about everything from song choices to production plans. However, this year Cheryl is determined to put it all behind her and cut the jibes.
"I've got to work on not retaliating. But it has been a little bit of a different circumstance this last few weeks, unfortunately, so it's been more banter than bickering," Cheryl said.
However, she said she loves Cowell "dearly" and viewers don't want to watch them fight.
"Can I be honest with you? I love him dearly. I do. Viewers don't want to watch me and Simon fighting. They want to laugh along with us," she said.
However, if Cowell has his way, Cheryl is in for a long series as he jokes he can't stop winding her up.
"The thing about Cheryl is that she's so easy to wind up that I can't stop myself, because it makes me laugh," he explained.
"That's a sign of affection if I like someone. And secretly she finds it funny but she won't admit it. She's been great this year and she is a trouper."
