China and India communicate closely with each other with regard to border affairs, Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Tuesday.
The two countries believe in joint efforts to maintain peace along border areas, Xinhua quoted Hua as saying in a daily press briefing
China and India want a peaceful and stable situation along border areas, Hua said, adding that China hoped to work with India to maintain peace, and not let related issues affect the development of China-India relations.
China and India held the fourth meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on China-India Border Affairs Sep 29-30 in Beijing.
The two sides discussed issues of how to improve efficiency when dealing with border affairs, Hua said.
