Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who "consciously uncoupled" from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin two years ago, says the duo were better off as friends than a couple.
Paltrow and Martin, who have daughter Apple and son Moses together, remained on good terms and they still enjoy dinners and holidays together, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"I think we are better as friends than we were (married). We are very close and supportive of one another," Paltrow told Marie Claire Australia magazine.
Though Paltrow hinted that it is a bit impossible to rekindle her romance with Martin, she was grateful because her he always tried to be by their children's side when they needed him.
"It hasn't always been easy for us because you have good days and bad days as you do in life with anything, but I feel lucky because Chris has been willing to push himself for the sake of the kids and help me co-create this new family. It's like we are still a family, but not a couple," Paltrow said.
