Croatia's Marin Cilic beat sixth-seeded Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic 6-2, 6-4, 7-6 (4) to reach the US Open final four here.
Cilic, 25, Thursday reached his first Grand Slam semifinals since the 2010 Australian Open, and also became the first Croat to enter the US Open last four since Goran Ivanisevic did so in 1996, reports Xinhua.
Cilic will meet second-seeded Swiss Roger Federer in the semifinals.
